Williams assumes expanded role at Chase

March 2007

Joey D. Williams (Delta Zeta '86) has been appointed market manager of commercial banking and president of Chase Bank of Western Ohio. In addition to the expanded role, Williams will have offices in Dayton and Cincinnati. Williams joined Chase in 1996 and served as division manager before being appointed head of the Dayton market. Williams, a 1988 graduate of Central State University is a native of Dayton and city commissioner and former member of the Dayton Board of Education.

Bogan honored by the city of Dayton

May 2007

Bobby Joe Bogan, Jr. (Delta Zeta '84/Dayton Alumni) was recently honored as one of the top 10 African American males by the city of Dayton, Ohio. Bobby Joe is a criminal justice professional with over 20 years experience in the fields of juvenile and adult corrections and a a graduate of Central State University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology. In 2004, Mr. Bogan was appointed Warden of the Montgomery Education & Pre-Release Center, a minimum-security adult male prison in Dayton.  

As Warden, Bogan has established a number of programs to assist offenders with successful re-entry into the community. Those programs include training and employment opportunities through the Dayton Urban League, Spirit of Peace, Solid Rock Baptist Church and the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has also managed the delivery of over 132,000 community service hours donated to the City of Dayton, Montgomery and surrounding counties.

Bogan has spent countless hours mentoring youth in the Dayton community. He is a member of several national organizations including the American Correctional Association, Cambridge Who's Who, National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, and the North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents. He serves on the advisory board for Central State University College of Arts & Sciences, Dayton Public Schools Public Safety Program and RETS Tech Center Criminal Justice Program.

Bogan is a huge supporter of youth sports and enjoys reading and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
